Ok, so we know hulu is slow now on the n900. Partially due to flash 9 instead of an optimized flash 10. but if hulu in regular quality plays at normal speed on the n900 once flash 10 is out on it will it slow down significantly when being outputted to a tv through tv out?

just imagine the possibilities if it didn't. and yes we all know a netbook or laptop could do it better but what if you don't have one with you or you don't want to turn it on, wait for it to load into the os, etc.etc.

There shouldn't be a significant performance difference (if at all) between on screen and TV-out (with the same resolution), if this mechanism is correctly optimized.

With flash 10 upgrade the playback should be improved, afaik flash 10.1 will use gpu aceleration, maybe on the n900 we get opengl aceleration.

My experience with megavideo was smooth, however after installing the AdBlock plugin it became choppy.
Check the last link in my signature, that could fix any video streaming inconveniencies before flash 10.

^ I had no idea VEOH worked on N900, I'm definately trying it.

Here's the beta 2 release of flash 10.1 for your
PC
http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html

But first you have to uninstall your current version of flash player, Instructions here: Win XP just use control panel add/remove programs
http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/f...leasenotes.pdf

Here's the flash 10.1 forum
