I'm a sound engineer and I'm a little disappointed with the N900's lack of customization options as it relates to audio (contact ringtone/sms alert/email alert/IM alert/alarm). Reading through the threads, I realize that I'm not the only person who is disappointed with this. I'm considering taking it upon myself to make the customization options that are available at least somewhat interesting.

So here's what I'm asking: How many people would be willing to participate in helping to collaborate on choosing themes and individual components of Audio packs? For example, zerojay commented while discussing this very topic how he'd like an old-school super mario bros them audio pack with sounds from the game?

Would you be willing to pay for it? The money would be mostly to secure content that isn't readily available to me (i.e. rental of DVDs for TV shows or purchase of songs). Is there any way to make this a simplified process?

Submitting content for a fee is very difficult (take a look at the theads about the Ovi store and you'll see what we mean).

On the other hand, you could set it up as donationware here without much trouble, if that were enough for you.

I could certainly see there being a market for it for some people.
