Hi,

I try to charge my N900 using APC UPB-10 Mobile Power Pack (5V output, 10Wh) connected via N900 bundled USB Cable. But it can't charge in proper way. My APC UPB-10 has been done flawlessly on my other device such as iPhone 3G and Blackberry Bold.

In power on mode the battery indicator not showing any charge status. The usb connected indicator also not show up. I can charge my N900 easily on my laptop USB port.

When I try on power off mode, it getting more strange. The display shows NOKIA logo without the backlight turn on and then the logo disappear and the yellow light not blinking but stay on. This is strange, because usually N900 blinking yellow when charged.

Anyone experienced this problem?

I don,t have other mobile power pack to test.

please share your experience.

regards

Just tested my n900 with a powerchimp. This works fine for me.
No USB icon shows up, but that's expected - there's no device on the other end for it to talk to.

It's not just you. Others, including me, have experienced the issue. The N900 is picky about which recharger it works with. I think it's a matter of how the data connectors are wired. Yf they aren't wired correctly it confuses the N900. (That's my theory on the problem). My no-name AC/car DC adapter w/ USB database won't charge the N900. I bought a Rocketfish branded Car recharge and that did the trick.

i have sevetal USB (mini) chargers as well. With Mini 2 micro adapter, i was able to use only 1 to work with N900.

Update:
My cheap USB (mini) charger worked ok with mini2micro adapter.
