My operator id is shown two times, next to each other on the desktop ?

Like this: http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/8828/cellid.jpg

Also, id doesn't show any cell id?

Is this a bug, or can i correct i somehow ?

Don't have this problem... but if it is really, really annoying for you and you want to take the risk going into extras-devel, you could try the "Custom Operator Name Applet"...

Does anyone else have this problem ?

Otherwise I think I'll submit it as a bug, since it's annoying the OCD part of my brain..

Also, I can't find any info on Cell ID ?

Well, ask your provider I'd say. :-)
I haven't seen this here with Vodafone CZ. I don't think it's a software bug.

Not having yet received my N900 I can't say for sure, but it sure looks like a classic 'Operator Name' and 'Service Provider Name' roaming state.

Has anyone tried a roaming SIM in the N900 yet? If my theory is right, you would expect to see 'Home Network' - 'Roaming Network'

I can't see your location real_per, but if your Airtel network has many Mobile Network Codes (MNC) then it could be that the device thinks is roaming .

Although you could be on the same mother network, the device doesn't know this as it treats any MNC other than the Home Network MNC stored on the SIM card as a foreign network

sorry if none of this makes sense .. 1.30am here - need sleep

you can see a list of MNCs here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_Network_Code

When I was roaming in the Netherlands (using my English Vodafone SIM), I only saw the operator name of the network I was using.

Last week when I was in Germany both "Vodafone CZ" and "Vodafone DE" were displayed.
