Armand,

That is actually exactly what VNC would do for you. You would VNC into your tablet and then you could use your windows keyboard and mouse to control it.

The problem I have with VNC is that it requires a window to take up space on your main screen or any screen on your desktop machine. Which is why a working Synergy would be *awesome*... you move the mouse OFF the screen (much like having a second monitor) and the mouse then gets attached to the remote device and you control it.

Neither, however, will work over USB unless USB networking were involved.

I want a driver to use the phone as a windows 7 gadget viewer. Synergy would be nice as well.

hold up I think there is a mix up here. i looked up vnc and what it is for is to be able to control your PC using your n900. what I want to do is control my N900 with my computer.
Am I thinking wrong with how VNC works?

VNC will allow a VNC client to control a VNC server.

You can install the client on the N900 and control the server on your PC...

Or you can install the server on the N900 and control it from the client on your PC.

The choice is yours on how you want to set it up.
