I do something like this in the little script I wrote to boost the fm transmitter. Basically its a button tie to a script that open an xterm and runs a command. In that case it closes the terminal but doesnt have to.

I am not good at programing, trust me. I'm the "idea" guy not the creator. I've done a little bit of HTML, C++ years ago at school but that's it.

If someone likes the idea and is able to create it, please do it. I think it could be very usefull for some of us.

When using the keyboard I find it quicker to press ctrl-I instead of Tab (the Tab on screen). ctrl-I is the same as Tab.
