There is severe bug about some videos that make the device resetting the screen over and over again, see https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8079 . I can't explain it and strangly doesn't happen when started such a movie in fullscreen.
Therefore a new kmplayer is now in extras-devel that only shows videos in fullscreen. The main window layout is changed to only show the playlist and toolbar. Only when some information needs to be shown, a rectangle shows up in the right-bottom corner.

Since there was some grumble about the interface being too much cluttered, I'm very interested in your opinions for this new interface.
The application should still be stable, as only some widgets are reschuffled. Though some polishing is needed before making it version 0.10.3.

So now when kmplayer detects video, the application goes in fullscreen automatically. Double tap, to toggle fullscreen/normal screen is removed. Also clicking top-right, for navigating the playlist, is gone.
Instead, if you now click once somewhere on the screen, a close button and toolbar appear for a short time. Use the arrow keys to traverse through the playlist, you should see the current selected item on top of the screen. Like in the playlist of the main window, Up and Down, moves the selection, Left collapses the selected folder, Right expands it and finally Enter will start playing it.

It works very well and use the whole screen on mplayer, believe built-in media player too. Thanks, koos. However, with the new built, the blue TV menua bar is gone, how to add favorite? coming?

Looks great. Its now better.
But why surroundings of all videos are grey?

Yes blue menu is replaced by label on top and using the arrow keys. Add-to-favorite is still missing, I'll add a toolbar button for it (probably only in fullscreen).

#101818 actually. Was to see difference to black borders created by mplayer/gstreamer and had side effect that it distinguishes between device turned off and kmplayer in fullscreen. Media player uses those dots to do that, hmm you still see an empty screen in kmplayer when switching between movies and the player is still connecting with a server. Suggestions?
