Hi!

some of the important German TV Channels (ProSieben, sat.1, RTL, VOX, Kabel 1, etc.) do not broadcast their program into the web, obviously due to some stupid licensing (=money) problems. Zattoo is not a solution since the framerate is down at ~1 fps and the above mentioned channels do not broadcast via zattoo either (except in Switzerland - another reason to hate them ).

I was wondering now if it is possible to stream a DVB-T Broadcast from my home server/computer into the web (only for me, I do not want to go to jail for it, lawl), via MMS or RTSP. A flashbroadcast (for example justin.tv) has a serious performance problem, because of the weak CPU. Therefore it is no option at the moment (maybe 10.1 will solve it, but where the f*ck is the update, Nokia guys wake up!!!).

I am using XP and I did not find a complete Tutorial or HowTo. I think VLC/VLS should be able to do this wit the help of channel.conf but I have no idea how to do it...

Kind regards

Here is a official mms Stream of n-tv:

mms://217.118.170.203/ntvlive

Having this for ARD, ZDF, RTL, Pro7, etc. would be great!!!

I think Orb has support for streaming TV via TV-cards. I have not tried it though. It also requires you to use their own site. Also, I've never really got it working on my computer, don't really know why(video streaming that is).

If you have a spare 15€ you can buy DVBViewer and install Recording Service with it. It works great with my DVB-S card.
