I recently received my N900 which is a Vodaphone/205 variant. After reading through the posts I decide to flash the firmware to the global variant(I'm not on contract to VF) I've followed the instructions from various posts to begin the flash but when I hit enter button what happens is the bin file I downloaded is listed followed by %m and I am returned to the prompt. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong. Thanks

You're not putting the full path to the bin file
Easiest way is to place it in the flasher directory (what's shown before the command you type, on the same line)

I've tried placing the file in the flasher directory and on C:\ with just the same result.I followed these instructions substituting the name of the bin file I downloaded.http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_tablet_firmware

Use tab to complete the filename, it should also add some inverted quotation marks which should resolve any problems Windows has with it
