I have a somewhat similar experience with testing the v9 from Ovi: trying to route myself from Iisalmi, Finland to Helsinki, it claimed the fastest way is to via Jyväskylä which is at least an hour's diversion from the almost direct route.

I don't think I will be buying this version, unless significant improvements in the routing algorithms are made.
