if you do not use QT4.6 specific code, Im guessing it should work well on the device even if you build it in the PR1.2 SDK, I havent tried it myself though.

The Qt/Nokia team did not make it clear enough that the qt4-maemo5 libraries are intended as experimental Qt snapshots. These libraries are not intended to be used in final end-user applications.
libqt4 is the correct Qt to be used when you want to promote your application to extras. In PR1.1* firmware this is version 4.5.3, in PR1.2 it will be 4.6.2.
When PR1.2 is released, all applications depending on libqt4 (>=4.6) will be able to be promoted to Extras.
After PR1.2 release the qt4-maemo5 libraries will be renamed to qt4-experimental to make it more clear that this is only to be used as tech preview for developers.

I'd like to know how long are you going to wait for that mythical PR1.2. When the SDK iin the autobuilder has been changed to the new version I thought that it's a matter of a week or two, but now I think it will be released in 3-4 months. And it seems that no one knows the real date.BTW qt4-maemo5 is too buggy to be considered "stable".
