I just encountered a some serious problem with my n900 and my sim card--i cannot make/receive phone calls. It was working perfectly yesterday. here is the problem:
1. Upon switching on my n900 with my own sim card, the phone will register with my carrier and I can see my signal strength.
2. When I try to make any calls, the phone will show "connection error"
3. if i set the phone to offline mode then set to normal mode, it will no longer find any cellular networks, and will not register.
4. Turning phone off, then turning it on will set the loop back to 1, where it will register upon restarting but still unable to make calls.
Here are more strange things:
1. If i put my own sim card into my friend's phone, it will work perfectly.
2. If i put my friend's sim card into my n900, it will also work perfectly.
So it looks like my n900 simply won't work with my own sim card, but it was working yesterday.
Can someone think of a solution to this problem? I am traveling in 6 hours and will appreciate any quick help.
Thanks
