I've found the N900's mic to be excellent for scratch recordings of freestyles and interviews alike. However, it is frustrating to have a 22khz file. There are no settings options in the 'Recorder' app I downloaded through the App manager. Does anyone have an idea on how to enable 44.1khz?

(And even if it doesn't change the quality, that bitrate is the minimum for integrating with any other sound files and a good number of online services).

This would be high in my must have list too. Also the user optional recording folder would be nice addition. You should probably contact the app creator and ask for this feature.

Me too. And some software like "Luci" or "PDAudio" would be good too.

Cheers, Graham.

I fully agree that the N900 has an amazing mic, but seems you have not searched thoroughly.

Download myDicto. and try 44.1khz / 16bit.. quality is recording-like
