After multiple attempts at initiating an internet connection, I finally deleted Pdanet on my Q, reinstalled the latest version, checked "Enable Bluetooth DUN", deleted the bluetooth pairing on the N800, then re-paired the N800 and Q. The N800 then recognized my Q as a GSM phone. While going through the phone connection setup on the N800, my Q was recognized as a GSM phone. I changed the dialup number to #777 and left the username/pw blank. Voila...connection immediately made!
Bandwidth speed testing produced a result of 150 kbps, so I received web page loading at a mediocre rate. However, it's better than 0!
Will try to re-pair as a CDMA phone and see what happens.
