Not sure if this is the answer to keeping the N900 charged while on a bike. Would be cool if it could take a USB plug. Could then charge up lots of devices.

Interesting. I've been contemplating getting a folding solar panel and wiring a battery charger to it or making a battery pack for the purpose. It could be really useful on long tours.

Here is a charger that I've been thinking about building for a while now. I've tried contacting the company that makes the charging circuit with no luck, and lost interest.

I'd be a little wary of attaching my N900 to my bike without shock and rain protection.
