When you take pictures with the n900 do you simply hook up via usb and use the mass storage option and use the built in windows image transfer wizard or do you simply go to the DCIM folder on the n900 memory and copy and pase the pictures fromthere to pc? Or how do you go about doing this? Thanks

Also when i went to photos on the n900 theres was a bunch of little pictures of websites i visited why and is there a way to stop that?

You can use the USB connection / Windoes transfer wizard.

Or copy/paste them from the DCIM folder.

Personally, I copy them via SSH over WiFi

As for the little pictures of websites - ?!? - have you used the screenshot option - CTRL-SHIFT-P which grabs a copy of your current screen as a photo, and puts it in the DCIM folder?

i think pc suite has a transfer wizard too (havent used it pc suite sucks for n900)

if you have any online photo accounts you can publish there directly from the phone.

personally i use a memory card reader for picture transfers, copy/pasting from DCIM folder.

and i'm sure theres more along with those already mentioned. really whatever way suits you is whats best.
