What gives with the maemo site that is supposed to contain downloadable software. Each package I tried to install did not work (gnumeric and gpe-calendar) and said that there were additional components requried. I also had trouble with abiword.
This is why my 770 became a paperweight. These devices are cute and do work looking at the internet in bed, but they are not for an average user if an application cannot be installed from the key website using a link that says "click here to install."
