Hi all,

I notice that the ELM327 BT OBD-II dongle comes with software for PC and Palm. I do not need to install software other than Carman in order to make the BT dongle work with my N800, right?

Cheers,

Hi all,

I have received the ELM327 BT OBD-II dongle. On the N800, I see in the Bluetooth set-up the OBD-II dongle, and I get a pass code. Authentication keeps failing and I can't pair the N800 with the dongle. What am I doing wrong?

Cheers,
-Guybrush

According to this thread, the pairing PIN is "0000" but some people experience dropped connections.

Hi Ima,

Thank you for your response. I will see if it works if I manually put in 0000. If it does not work, I will ask in the thread you have kindly linked.

EDIT:

I just tried it and putting in 0000 as the pairing code worked. I don't know how anyone would find this out unless told?

I know I should have found the linked thread on my own. :-/ Thanks again for your help!

Cheers,
-Guybrush
