i have bought a n900 off ebay i tried to clear all the data and went through settings / clear data 12345 wouldnt work .. spoke to the chap who i bought phone off he hasnt put in any new code

i have followed the instructions and reflashed the firmware .... however 12345 still wont work ... i want to set a code so i can lock my phone plus also want to work out how to get the code to work if i decide to either sell the phone on or want to clear everything

the phone is only 3 months old .... any idea's

also another quick one ive set up exchange and my phone will sync contacts but not the calendar comes up with exchange server isnt responding check settings .. they are right because i have my contacts ,,, any idea ??

Don't panic buddy. Simply just reflash the OS again and also reflashing the eMMC as well.

This way you'll get a clean OS.

i reflashed the os by following

but never did the emmc is this why i cant get 12345 to work ....

presumed an internal format of the hard drive would work ....

if i follow it right this time will i get the 12345 on data to work ?

yup, reflashing both will restore your phones virginity. ( i wish i could do the same to my wife, sheesh!)

i use gmail for my contacts and calendar and access it via the exchange m.google.com ive got my contacts to sync but not the calendar never had any problem on android .. so i know the settings are right .....
