Hi,

I am getting an Audi A4 on Thursday, it has a bluetooth kit built in which i'm hoping to pair with my n900 to use the car audio system as a large hands free and get rid of the bluetooth headset I use currently.

The problem is that i've read its not that easy as the n900 doesn't support certain protocols that are required.

Does anyone have any information or updates on this or has managed to get it 100% working on a built in car kit?

Thanks in advance.

Kev

searching the forum for 'carkit' and/or' 'bluetooth' and/or 'pbap' or 'irmc' might reveal some useful info for you

I noticed that people have had different experiences with different car kits so was hoping someone might have experience with the Audi one, i'll do a search on those terms now.

Thanks

I have an A6 (4F/2006) and the Handsfree works - but not much more. OTOH, I drive and use it so rarely that I can't really tell :-)

I drive a 2008 seat leon, which uses 1 gen older bt set than current vw/audi models, everything works except the phonebook. You can hack it to make it work but I have already recorded most used numbers in the car's phonebook for voice dialing so i am not going to mess with the updates
