Hi,

When I press and hold the power button on my new Nokia 770, sometimes it won't respond, and I have to do it a few times (2, at most 3) . Is it normal?

Thanks, cj

Not normal. Sounds like contacts are wearing out.

had something like this on new 770, after the device was powered off it could be sometimes woken up only by connecting the charger, power key didn't work.

what helped for me is switching device to r&d mode. in this mode the device powered on reliably and only shorter press was needed. then after few days i also tried to disable r&d mode and the problem didn't come back. power on is now reliable even if r&d mode is not enabled.

I don't believe it is normal, but on a different note you don't need to power the unit off and that was only because i need to upgrade flash. It goes into sleep mode with the cover on. The last time I powered mine off was months ago. Linux is designed to run non-stop.
