Hi,

I was wondering if I could install Maemo on an ARM device (samsung s3c2443x-40)?

It is a navigation unit but I want to try and get more out of it for mapping in the field and connecting to the internet.

best,

best,
Certainly not Maemo, too much of it is closed to be useful. You could try porting MeeGo, however the ARM7TDMI architecture is unsupported and quite old.

You may want to look at Angstrom or OpenEmbedded, as they're even lighter weight than Maemo/MeeGo.
