I use Media Player, Sib and KMPlayer, along with Subtitles Support. Special characters (spanish accented characters, i.e. á, é, í, ó, ú, ñ, Ñ) are displayed fine within Media Player, but not within Sib and KMPlayer.

Configuring Subtitles Support for other types of Encoding doesn't help.

Any clues?

This has happened to me with VLC media player on my PC. Have you tried 1) opening the .srt or .sub files with WordPad etc. 2) opening and "saving it as" xyz.srt and selecting UTF-8 from the are below the name?
