Is there a way to make youtube links in the browser to open the clips directly in the media player as it does on android? (most sites/blogs dont provide links to the mobile youtube clips)

I see 2 posibilities:
1) cutetube integration
2) greasemonkey magic to redirect to the non-flash clip url

Flash is nice but is a heavy battery consumer.

well attached is greasemonkey script version 0.1...

issues:
1) currently it will download and not stream the clip using smplayer
2) site will load normally and only then reformat itself
3) choosing to "restore youtube" will require to scroll down

howto:
download the file and remove the .txt postfix.
open in the browser as file://<full file path>

requirements:
greasemonkey installed
smplayer installed
Attached Files
File Type: txt youtube_mobile_assist.user.js.txt (11.4 KB, 147 views)
