I have a problem whereby email messages are disappearing from the inbox. I can see this has been mentioned before, but can't see a solution. i currently have two emails showing in the inbox, several emails I was not wanting to delete have gone from the inbox, yet when i check the folder details it says there are 100 messages in the inbox and 12 mb. They are not archived nor saved anywhere else that I can see. Any ideas?

Try to delete your email account and configure it again.

Not sure if this is the case for you, but it happens when I pick up my Exchange emails from our corporate server. Some emails end up in the JUNK folder, so look it up there.

i emailed some ringtones to my mates and i usually email myself a copy at the same time, anyway this time i forgot. i asked my mate if he'd forward the email to my n900 which he did, but no attachment was with it. so i went to the hotmail site and the email was there and also the attachment, does anyone know why the attachments didn't show on my device or is this a known bug?

Some of the time it depends who your email provider is. Some don't allow marketing emails through, some don't allow attachments. Some will detect marketing emails on keywords alone.

I have 2 email accounts set up. One is a free service, the other is my home ISP's webmail service. The free service will send me an email if there is anything in my spam folder, my paid for webmail service won't.

I had the problem where my webmail inbox kept showing the "Show more" button and it was saying 254/350. To clear it I just left it connected to the server for longer than I usually do, which leads me to believe that part of the problem can be caused your network provider.
