i am a linux and 770 newbie and i did something that now prevents me from updating the application list or seeing what is installed in application manager

my log states:

osso-application.installer 4.22.1 UI version 1
E:Malformed line 10 in source list/etc/apt/sources.list (dist parse)
E:The list of cources could not be read.
IAP Error:1IAP connection failed.

there are apps on the machine (ex: xterm, maemo mapper, kismet) and I can acutally use them as well as the built in browser/rss reader etc..

a: what did i f'up
b: how do i fix

thanx

you would need to go into the Application catalog and find the botched entry.

start by disabling one entry.
update the package list and see if you get a failure.
if you do get the failure, re-enable the entry you disabled and disable the next one on the list.

repeat that process until you can update the package list without error, and the entry that is disabled is the one in error.
