My company has just designed a cross-platform mobile application based on HTML5 (JavaScript with local SQLite database) thanks to the Sancha Touch framework http://www.sencha.com/products/touch/
Of course its first targets are iOS and Android...
As Sancha Touch does not support Fennec/5.0 yet, forget Firefox on either N900 or Android. MicroB does not support HTML5 at all. So what option ?
Just found it: Google Chromium

Even it is a raw desktop version compilation it is usable enough to get such applications work.
