I've had mine for 7 months, installed quite a lot (some from Devel), not done any major tweaks or X Term stuff and haven't needed to re-flash yet. *Touchwood*
I bricked mine on day 3.

I found some apps do not shut down properly and actually still run in the background obviously hogging vital ram, one of the reasons i am very carefull before i install anything from the download section and certainly if it does not have enough of a writeup for field testing i will not use.

By the way there is no such thing as a "bricked" N900 unless it has sustained component damage .

I think after 2 weeks I couldn't install anything anymore, always missing depencies. The problem was some important library installed by default was gone :P Just reflashed it, becuz I wanted a clean install, also I had to reflash again because backupmenu didn't restore very well and I couldn't boot anything anymore so again a reflash

Still I am happy about this phone and got it since I registerd here :P

yep. i know that my n900 is not bricked. but "BRICKED" is what they call it. i only used the term bricked so that i can make this thread. what do you think we can call our malfunctioning n900? semi bricked perhaps? after all its useless in its current state. but its only temporary. what do you think guys? should we call it semi bricked? haha. a little off topic. lol
