Sadly, MeeGo has largely failed to live up to its potential. Development moved slowly because endless bikeshedding impaired efforts to reconcile technical differences between the disparate Nokia and Intel software components

Love your posts because of the factual nature of them and i agree totally to wait for WP8 as i really do think it will be very soon on the market.
This is the best community on the net so i sincearly hope it does NOT go away, it just needs to find funding from Nokia again with the WP devices.
Am sure Elop would want a WP community.... think about it.

God knows they're well overdue, they can't have been doing nothing in all that time.
If they haven't got something competitive to present this year...
Then as I said they should probably walk away & license ARM once again.
But it's a huge loss, so I'm not sure if they can afford to walk away.
It's becoming increasingly clear, that the tablet form-factor or smaller is where it's at.
Then again there's no doubt they'd do well (even dominate) as an ARM licensee.
But it'd be nice if they can totally reinvent the space, w/chips that are way more powerful but just as efficient.
So I hope they don't walk away, but I also hope they bloody well deliver SOON!
