When browsing the net found these cool indie game projects:

http://stabyourself.net/nottetris2/
&
http://stabyourself.net/mari0/

The latter is not jet availible, but I see great potential in the first one. Maybe even with accelerometer control 0_0

Both games are/will be (?) open-source and are based on the open-source Löve2D game engine, which is availible at http://love2d.org/.

I hope I could raise some interest in the games and would löve to see a maemo port.

Can't compile directly... It needs OpenGL.
But I'll check if I can do the same as was done to Powertoy.

5700: could you check if you can do something with Armagetron Advanced? Preliminary GL->GLES was done by voodoo from arma forums, but the game needs some more love (runs very well on 320x200 but this is near impossible to play against real players online, on higher res around 10 fps sadly). Compiles without problem, so if you can help the framerate by even few fps this could happen (and could happen to be the killer game for N900). My recompile for maemo: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=64219 voodoo's repo with gles version: https://code.launchpad.net/~aavoodoo

I'm sorry, but there is little I can do. I only know some Qt, which is at a higher level. (I have written an Xml parser, but pure OpenGL is out of my league.)
I basically just know how to use build systems. Other than that, I'm useless for SDL and C.
In other words: I'm not a professional programmer. Far from it.

Is the Love2D game engine a possibility on N900? Or even the lua language?

https://bitbucket.org/bartbes/love-e...ts/branch/GLES

But for some reason:
Code:
checking for library containing glViewport... no
configure: error: LÖVE needs "OpenGL", please install "OpenGL" with development files and try again
I can't see how peopel are using this branch as a base for iOS and Android. Anyway, there's even a common mobile branch which should include new API functions like love.touchpressed, love.touchreleased, love.touchmoved, love.touchgestured

Anyone feels like porting? I can offer DevIL-1.7.8-1.armv7hl.rpm, libmodplug-0.8.8.5-1.armv7hl.rpm, libmodplug-devel-0.8.8.5-1.armv7hl.rpm and physfs-2.0.3-1.armv7hl.rpm (which, maybe coupled with the mer-tools repo, should cover all dependencies) if needed.
