I personally convert all my pdf's to html then zip them before transferring to my memory card and reading them with FBReader. It is by far the best ebook reader I've tried so far, it's only downside right now is the lack of pdf support. You can even use gmail to email yourself a pdf, then view as html and save it that way should you not have any pdf-to-html software on your computer.
