if anyone wants to fix the jumping image when you open the clock, replace this file:
/usr/share/themes/blanco/meegotouch/images/splash/meegotouch-clock-splash.jpg
i recommend replacing it with a gray 854x480 bg, so regardless of changes it wont look terrible. for me, i made a custom one with it moved to my height. feel free to instead use my custom CSS and splash image. {i included my inexpertly layered gimp project for reference}

Next I slightly changed the alarm screen. The snooze button is larger than the dismiss button so it's easier to hit.
