Am confuse as to whether UKMP plays .ogg files. If so, is a minimum number of files/folders required? Where should cover art be installed? Should each folder be in a separate folder?

No, oggs make UKMP crash on 770 due missing demuxer. See this thread:

At present, I use n770-freak's gst-ogg-vorbis deb package and audioplayer with success.

Two things will have to be resolved before I can use ukmp. A fix for ogg file playing and the Thai government unblockung YouTube.
