Why don't we get the one who packaged this to simply change the package name to alpine-mail?

I have figured out the reason 'smartphones' were invented. They are for reading the internet while pooping. This means the best smartphone ever created is the N9. It is the only one that works so well single-handed.

You could try to find the path by typing and hitting [Tab] for completion, like:
ls -al /va[Tab]ca[Tab]ap[Tab]
This should be a sysmlink to some other place in /opt or /home/user/MyDocs.
Did i misspell the package name??? Try to type

dpkg -x /var/cache/apt/archives/alpine
then double hit [Tab] to auto-complete the path.

No, it wasn't misspelled. I checked the location manually afterwards, but the alpine...deb file just wasn't there (there were a few others, though, and two subdirs, nothing related).
