Sins almost twe weeks I am owner of the N800.
It is a nice device but I have some problems with it. One is live radio and playback video of recent broadcastings.

On my PDA with Opera 8.65 for windows mobile selecting as example http://www.bnr.nl/RadioStreamer.asp worked.
With my Nokia N800 with the latest OS, it dos not.

So as far I can see no live radio via the N800.
Also the videos’ from the public broadcasting I can’t see.
This is disappointing as the impression I had when I bought the device was that lisning to the public radio should work, and I hoped for viewing video’s from the public tv stations

Well, you can still listen to them, but it's not that straightforward.
First of all, you need to install mplayer
Then, you can visit one of those pages, for example let's pick http://www.skyradio.nl/player.php .. first you need to view the HTML source and look for the streaming URL. In this case, it's http://www.garnierstreamingmedia.com/asx/skyradio.asp
You will then need to open the URL using some text viewer. For example, on the Nokia N800 you may simply paste it in the browser and open it using Notes. From there, you can ghet the URL of the stream. In this case it's http://81.173.4.30/Skyradio . Paste that in mplayer and it will play.

I suggest you also install this applet: http://maemo.org/downloads/product/load-applet-runn
You will need it if mplayer keeps playing after closing GMPlauncher

I managed it to get to http://www.garnierstreamingmedia.com/asx/skyradio.asp
How to get the URL number I do not understand. I work with the N800 with the standard browser and I do not see how I get from there to the URL.

With Mplayer and KmPlayer and taking your " http://81.173.4.30/Skyradio"
It works.
