Hi all. I'm using an external mic on the n900 (by using the video out thingy and a phono connector), but I want to reduce the volume of it because it is clipping on occasion.

I've tried some of the settings in alsamixer, but unfortunately I haven't been able to find the volume setting for the microphone. Is it even possible? What am I missing?
