Hi!

Suddenly my N9 doesn't get mails from Gmail automatically and to get them I'll have to go to mail app and make an update manually. I removed my Gmail account from phone and made a new one using mail for exchange but still the same thing. I selected for my update interval "always up to date" but didn't do the trick.
This problem started suddenly without me doing anything.

Any advice how to proceed?

Try setting it up as IMAP, rather than MfE. It always worked for me like that (though after some months mail client becomes a slow dog, and I need to delete and create the account again, which might be because I have 3.3G of emails up there)

Where can I change that? Didn't find any option for that.

just create a google account in the "accounts" app and enable mail for it.

I suppose that adding "other mail account" would work too.

Either I didn't understand you or you me

What good does it do just creating a new account for mail? I already removed my account and made a new one first using gmail account, then mail for exchange.
I just wonder what created this. I haven't got any new apps that would intervene with my phone. And my feed screen updates perfectly with RSS feed so it's not a connection problem.

Since today or yesterday (not sure) I suffer from problems with gmail + MfE too. MfE says that "authentification not possiple". Anyone having the same issue?

Connecting to email via Accounts>Google (which I normally use to connect to Google Talk) is possible. But this doesn't provide calendar sync.

So I think I have to setup a CalDAV account, in order to get my calendar synced, right?

Regards
Fredson

I noticed a similar issue when I used a SIM with no cellular data active. It wouldn't log into GMAIL using just wifi. When I swapped to a roaming SIM which also didn't have cellular data active it worked just fine on WIFI. I think Google might be requiring cellular data for non roaming SIMs but I haven't done anything more to evaluate that theory.

Weird sh_it. Wonder what's causing this. Whatever I've tried I just can't get it to update automatically. Perhaps re-flash is my last hope.

Google stopped exchange mail for free users, that may cause:
