first i'll start off mentioning that i never used an OS like this before, all my ppc/pda's have been running windows mobile..so im totally new to this, i traded my dell axim for a nokia 770..i want to install a few apps, i searched and found a site named maemo.org..i read the tutorials over and over, i just dont get it..can someone please walk me through it..i seen a few media apps i was interested , especially a music player that features a2dp for BT headphones..any feedback would be more then helpful, thanks so much

When browsing the maemo site, you'll notice every so often on the product page a green button labeled "click here to install"
If you are browsing the site from your 770, the button does what it promises.

Generally though, all apps install from the application manager using repository listings to download the app to your 770. Here's one, but you can install as many as you like. Just open the app manager and open the menu by clicking the title bar, then tap tools > application catalog. Tap the new button and fill this in...

After you have some repositories installed you can just browse applications / install apps from the applications manager.

If you have questionls about any of the applications you are interested in, be sure to use the "Search" feature at the top of this forum. All the questions you'll ever have were answered earlier at this site.
