I have been running a few android apps on Ubuntu, which is great. I can't help to think that it would be even better to use this method in N9. I'm not willing to give up on my N9. To be honest, the only app I miss in MeeGo is Instagram, and now I'm able to run it flawlessly in Chrome.

So, do you think it is possible to compile Chromium/Chrome 37+ browser for Harmattan?

Not an issue on Debian.

There is an ARM build under releases.

Yes, performance is a issue. Chromium is not as scalable as Iceweasel/Firefox and does not run well with 256MB of memory.

We need the full Chromium to run apk? A dedicated version that handle only apk will be better...

Will the Dalvik bits even compile for ARM? My understanding from answers in this thread was that AMD64 only libs prevented compilation for ARM. Am I mistaken? Can we just compile the Dalvik bits required for an APK environment and turn off the rest when we compile? Still unclear how this will work without the Dalvik specific power management kernel modules.

Been busy, so not really tried to. I'll check it on the weekend.

Later then expected, but got some progress

WebGL was enabled with workaround in about:flags

Now i'm stuck on this issue (on Screenshot), need to recompile Chromium with NaCL

Same error with recomplied chrome, but this time the browser itself slow as hell, and totally unusable. With such performance drop, I don't think that running android apps via chrome runtime will be usable at all.
