Hello i bought my Nokia internet tablet on ebay and i like it kind of. I am having some problems with it and no one seems to know how to help. First i am using wireless internet in my home so i am not going threw a cell phone company. I can access sites but when i try to go download something, its a pain. It tells me when i try and download no application found so only option i have is to save it, after it downloads it and i try to go open it, i get unknowen file. I went to maemo.org and it downloaded yahoo messager and i wa sso excited thinking that would work but it only works half the time because it says my unnamed yahoo and i have been using that user id for yrs. I cant download flash player or abrobe reader. I AM SURE I MISSED SPELLED THAT! Can someone please help. please email me at countrygirl@min.midco.net

There's no need or use to download flash player or adobe reader, as 1) any of those you find will be for a different architecture (e.g. Windows) or for a different CPU (e.g. x86), of no use to the Nokia IT, and 2) The Nokia IT comes with built-in flash player support (in the browser) and built-in pdf support, there's no reason to download (a non-existing) adobe reader.

You might want to spend some time looking through these forums. In many ways the IT is not a user-friendly device for those not experienced with Linux - it's much more of a hobbyist device. Most flash games like those on pogo require a version of flash not supported on the IT. As for your messenger, do some more searching here. I don't use it myself, but gaim may be what you're looking for.
