Following an RSS feed to the originator's web site can be tough going for the undernourished N810. One workaround is to send the feed through a full-text site, which will allow the N810 RSS app (stock or otherwise) to download the entire article with no need for browsing.

For example, the rss feed http://politico.com/rss/politicopicks.xml will only give you the articles' headers.

But if you set up the feed with fulltextrssfeed.com, you'll get the full articles:

http://fulltextrssfeed.com/politico....iticopicks.xml

Caveats:

1) most full-text sites will let you use their site for free for the first 3-5 articles. After that, it's a pay thing. So if you needed all the articles of a feed, you'll have to do business with the various organizations

2) these full-text sites come and go. fivefilters.org has been around for a while, as has fulltextrssfeed.com. wizardrss.com is also good. Still, there are new ones all the time, and these may give you more than the 3-5 free articles that seem to be standard

Great method of getting your total rss fix.
Alot easier than waiting for a browser on any device.

for me..I love my offline ...spark up old betsy in the morning and let her grab the news ...rss and podcast...and then I have stuff to glance, catch up on for when I'm inaccessible, in transit etc...

I've always been too bloody busy with something else I never thought of just getting the whole rss feed before...
kinda like being told that "there is the elevator over here y'know..." when what you've always done is taken the stairs never realizing there "was" an elevator in the 1st place.

I come from the land of the H/PC, Windows CE and such. N810 is state-of-the-art compared to an H/PC so we're used to endless workarounds and slow browsing (Pocket Explorer 4.0, ugh)

This full-text stuff will work on any rss reader--I use it in Thunderbird, etc

Not to be sacrilegious, but the app "Sparse RSS" for Android is even better--Sparse uses its own parser so that all 15 feeds of a site are full text. Lots of reading for the plane
