The reason for this post is there are numerous applications showing as available for Fremantle from a Maemo.org page, but the repo does not allow the download of as much. The problem is one which has been discussed quite a bit here, but the resolutions which worked for others do not appear to work any longer (those, being years old now, in addition to install the apps I tried from command line cannot be downloaded).
I am trying to install a few applications from the command line so that I can install others but the apps from command line appear to be currently unavailabe (as the install attempts made clear, claiming they are not available or are requested by other apps but are not available).
The apps I need are "apt-get install libwildmidi0 perl libspeex1 gstreamer0.10-plugins-good-extra gstreamer0.10-alsa gstreamer0.10-plugins-base-apps gstreamer-tools gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-extra gstreamer0.10-sdl gstreamer0.10-tools gstreamer0.10-tracelib" so that I can install someplayer and recaller. The problem appears to be that none of the command line apps will install, but are shown here:
http://maemo.org/packages/repository...xplicit_armel/
Here is my /etc/apt/hildon-application-manager.list:
deb http://repository.maemo.org/community/ fremantle free non-free
deb-src http://repository.maemo.org/community/ fremantle free non-free
deb http://repository.maemo.org/community-testing/ fremantle free non-free

deb http://maemo.org/packages/repository...explicit-armel free non-free
deb-src http://maemo.org/packages/repository...explicit-armel free non-free
So, how do I download the needed apps/components from the maemo.org/packages/repository/list/fremantle_nokia-applications_explicit_armel/ website (or is there a repository for as much)? Because the needed apps (including gstreamer and libspeex1) are shown as available from that site , how do I alter my repo list in hildon-application-manager.list to allow terminal or app-man access to as much?
It could be that the "fakedebconf" which was installed during one of the recent updates may have removed access to these files (as debconf in Debian lists many of these apps for nearly all of them depndancies or depandants for a PC/Notebook installs).
Thank you for any help and assistance you can provide so I can download these as they are not available from any of the repos in my hildon-application-manager.list (but are shown for the last few "nokia-applications" listed websites):
libwildmidi0
libspeex1
perl
gstreamer0.10-alsa
gstreamer0.10-plugins-base-apps
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-extra
gstreamer0.10-plugins-good-extra
gstreamer0.10-sdl
gstreamer0.10-tools
gstreamer0.10-tracelib
gstreamer-tools
A few others also such as the libflac8 and so on.
Thank you for any help, assistance, aid, etc. you can provide,
David
Edit Correction: by "cannot be downloaded" I mean the terminal claims the packages/apps are either unavailable or or unavailable but required by other apps (such as someplayer which will not install due to a lack of the dependancy libspeex1).
