@gerbick: how about remembering that mastodon is nothing else but an implementation of GNU social API with a nice UI ?

Which works just fine via a browser? Yes. Noted.

If you can use it in a browser, you won't need an "implementation", right?

Given this forum's dislike of apps, words like ecosystem and even fringe social media apps, starting with the "Does it work in a browser?" question is quite typical. I do not agree with that but that happens more often than not.
