So has anybody opened up their 770 yet? I'd love to see what's inside. (No, I'm not volunteering...)

Also, has anybody figured out how it automagically senses when the cover is slipped on the front and goes to sleep? I'm guessing a magnetic reed switch near the "menu" button, since there's a magnet embeded in the cover near there.

Cheers,
jp

It seems that the cover has a magnet inside that triggers the sleep mode.

The Hall-effect sensor for the Protection Shell (as reported through /sys/devices/platform/gpio-switch/prot_shell/cover_switch) is either to the left of, or under the "hard" Menu button (above the "hard" Home button).

ObTrivia: I used to use CapsLock as a nickname back in '88 - '95 :-)
