A couple of times now my N800 has appeared to hang. The screen stays lit but I can't get the screen to acknowledge the stylus and (weirdest of all) any button I click makes a really odd rapid clicking noise - like if I click the home button I'll hear 3 or 4 quick clicks and the machine will ignore me.

I rebooted both times and it came back and did the same again both times - the second time I left it powered down all night to no effect. I had to remove it from its case (a proporta), remove its back cover, put the cover back again and then reboot it and it works.

Has anyone had anything similar happen to them ? Its very strange and I'm getting a bit paranoid about it (and I must be close to the end of my 30 day return window).

p.s. Oh, when its hung its really hung. I was ssh'd in one time and that session hung as well - so its really hosed.

OK. It has happened to me too. It did not even respond to keyboard clicks. But after I deleted a couple apps which I think I didn't need to have; and then every thing was back to normal. I also re-calibrated the screen.
