Thought I'd pass this on. dckw1

Dom:

Thanks for the note. We haven't announced anything on this front.

We have been working with Nokia on several fronts
(http://boingo.com/pr/pr152.php), and expansion to other platforms is
always a possibility.

Since the N800 is a linux-based device, it would be relatively simple to
port our embedded toolkit to the platform (http://boingo.com/embedded/).
In fact, a Chinese-based smartphone manufacturer has effectively done
that (http://boingo.com/pr/pr133.html), so there is already one flavor
of linux-ported source available to expedite the process.

Cross your fingers and stay tuned for more information.

Thanks,
Christian

Some integration from Boingo would be great, I just recently subscribed to their flat rate Global service to get WiFi wherever.

Used it a bit on a recent trip to France & worked great once I found which local service providers were affiliated to Boingo. An integrated app would hopefully take that pain away.

Sounds like it's confirmed!

Nokia goes Boingo

Boingo Mobile is now available for WiFi-enabled phones such as the N80i and N95 and there will soon be a version available for the N800/810.

http://mobile.boingo.com/download/cl...hp?client=n810 would seem to have a client available for download, however, there is at least one reference to OS2008, which may be a pre-requisite.
