- rather annoyed that I have to upgrade via flashing still. we were supposed to be done with that for chinook.
Guess you missed the Sticky thread at the top of the N810 forum?

i'm very sure i read that on these very forums. that we'd be able to do os updates via directly downloaded packages, using the next major os upgrade (as stated in september/october).

You may have read it, but they were very wrong. This is, and always has been, slated for Diablo.
some thoughts:
- I don't know why people complain about the typing rooom along the top row. I have anything but dainty thumbs, but I have plenty of room.
- I have more trouble with the feel of the keyboard. the keys are too stiff and dont give much taactile ssense of having been pressed.. this leads to double-struck letters and missed letters... some of which i catch, slowing down my effective typing speed.. some of which i dont, lowering my accuracy. I think my samsung sch-r410 has a good design for a thumb keyboard that handles this well.
- the corners of the escape and home buttoons like to catch under the edge of thee face plate.
- better finger friendly interface than os2007, but still not good enough. thus, the device is almost useless closed (ie. as a tablet). the dpad really does need to be alwways aavailable, not just when open.
- can't find simple lauuncher for chinook
- same with the load/clock/command applet
- wish there was a way to tell rss reader to open urls in a new window, instead of using my existing windows.
- rather annoyed that I have to upgrade via flashing still. we were supposed to be done with that for chinook.
otherwise, i like it. nice to be able to thumb type and see the app at the same time.
