Being so excited, I jumped straight in and customised the hell out of the N800, but it occurs to me I should have updated it first.

Nokia seems to think I should be running 2008 but from what I can tell it's not quite there yet as far as apps go, so I want to hold off.

The About in the control panel just says "2007". How do I tell which one I have so I know if I need to update?

And is the sequence to use the backup from the control panel, update, then restore, and if so does anything get lost so I have to back it up some other way?
