When I try to clear my internet cache, I get a pop up saying some cache items are in use and cannot be deleted--even after a fresh restart and setting the home page blank.

Does this mean everything else was cleared? Or is my browser acting up?

it is normal... don't sweat it - what it means is that everything (other than current page) is cleared
