I Installed xkbdbthid on the 770 (OS2006) to use it with my Nokia 6110 Navigator (S60).

No way to get it working...

First thing I found out was that the menu entry in the applications menu does nothing. I went to a terminal window and started "xkbdbthid.sh" as root. OK, keyboard comes up.
There is an odd message ("illegal seek") in the terminal window, but i'm not sure if it means anything.

The 6110 doesn't have anything that could connect to a BT-keyboard pre-installed, but it's one of the applications you can easily download from the internal catalogue. For those who don't know, this article describes how to use this application to set up an external bt keyboard.

When I try to connect, my phone finds the 770 and lets me select it, but immediately afterwards says "could not connect to Nokia 770".

as always in such situations, there's no additional information, neither on the phone nor in the output of xkbdbthid. And yes, I can connect to my phone via BT usually. (They are normally paired, even though I deleted the pairing and tried from scratch once in my attemts to find out what was wrong. The only difference was that I was asked to enter the PIN before I got the "could not connect" message.)

Did any of you have success in using xkbdbthid with a S60 phone?
